The products in our machines identified as healthy options will all be highly nutritious and natural. A large
number will be organic and we maintain a number of gluten free, kosher and vegan options, as well. As
much as possible we provide products that are local and sustainable as well as organic. Local products include
items like Nancy’s Yogurt and Kefir, Pacific Natural soups, coffee drinks and soy and nut beverages. We also
carry Skout bars which are Oregon Tilth Certified Organic and made in the Willamette Valley near Salem. We are
adding more local suppliers to our vendor list every month. In fact, almost 50% of the items in our machines are
certified organic. Approximately 40% are regional products from the Pacific Northwest. We continually work
to find new, innovative products that meet our healthy criteria and the demand of our consumers. The benefit of this
is that our program never remains the same as we are constantly adding new and exciting product options.
The health and nutrition component of our items is the most important issue as we look for new products. Every
product our machines will pass the current guidelines for healthy snacks as set by the Department of
Agriculture. 80% pass the more stringent guidelines from the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, a consortium
from the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association and the American Cancer Society that
established criteria aimed at improving the eating habits of children. Our primary focus is to provide our locations
with nutritional food and beverage options which they can be proud to provide for their staff and guests.
